My Favorite Pocket Photo Printers!

Hello friends! I am here to show you allabout these pocket printers that I havethat I just love.

They're portable andfun and there's two that I'm going tofocus on.

The Instax share sp2and the HP sprocket! Now you might bewondering what happened to your InstaxShare sp1! Well I actually got rid of it.

I'm going to show you footage about itbecause I purchased the sp2 thinkingthat I would just give it to my mom andthen I would have the sp1 or vice versa.

But after doing a comparison study, whichyou'll see in the video, I decided tosell the sp1 because there was just nocomparison as far as the quality goes.

But I'll dive more in depth with youabout that when we go to the video! Iwant to say that I get questions all thetime on Instagram and my blog aboutthese portable pocket printers becausethey are so cute and fun so I wanted todive in and show you how they work andalso my opinion about what I love aboutthem.

If you've been following on myjourney for quite some time, you knowthat I love being able to create on thego and have these little tiny picturesthat print out right at your fingertipswherever you might be, so even if youdon't travel, you might want to stillwatch this video because these portableprinters are handy to have even if youlike to stay at home and do all yourprinting there.

The first one that Iever got was years ago and I actuallyordered it off of ebay and it was theFujifilm mobile printer MP 300, I thinkit's called a pivi - PIVI - and you can seethat it connects via a USB cord to myDSLR and I used to tote this thingaround in my purse and then when wewould travel, I remember in particularHawaii, I took this printer and satpoolside and printed out my memories andwas able to make a mini book while I wason the trip.

So look at the size of whatI had to create with back then and whenI say back then this is like maybe 2009,2010, so we've come a long wayconsidering these portable printers, these pocket printers that I'm going toshow you, are teeny tiny and really sofun to use.

Let's check them out!I ordered the Instax sharesp2 through Amazon.

I got it throughAmazon Prime so I got it within a coupleof days.

The link is below.

I found thatthe box looks like it has both Japaneseand English.

I'm not sure where itactually came from, but it came veryquickly.

Like I said, within two daysthanks to Prime.

When I open the box, there are instructions and otherpaperwork, as you can see, and then if youopen this little flap the printer isnicely wrapped and then there's also abattery as well as a USB cord forcharging.

So I'm just going to pull outthis printer so that we can figure outhow to load up the battery and I likethat this one has its own battery.

The SP-1takes CR-2 batteries and this onelooks like you can just pop this in andthen use the cord to charge it.

So onhere, on the side, I had a hard timeactually opening up this littlecompartment where the charger goes, ignore my gray nail polish there, but forsome reason I couldn't do it so Ireached for the thing that was closestto me that I thought would help whichare these Cutterbee scissors and I got itopen.

I don't know if I recommend doingthat, but it worked and here is the USBcord, so I'm just going to figure out ifI need to charge this up.

I probably do.

It probably doesn't come charged, but Ialso wanted to show you the sp1comparison, so I grabbed that out of myRandom Nicole pouch and here's the littlecharger with the batteries I was talkingabout for this printer.

But basicallyside-by-side comparison, the sp1 isslightly wider.

The SP 2 is a little bitmore narrow but it's taller.

They are both sleek looking and I wantto test out the prints to show you aside-by-side comparison.

I went ahead andprinted two photos out using this SP 2.

Iwanted to test it out and I didn'thave a tripod with me but I wanted toshow you the results ofthe prints.

And here they are.

These areactually for Jack's preschool.

They need apicture of the family and then a pictureof him.

So they turned out really good.

Ithink this is very true to how it lookson my iPhone and there was no problemprinting them out at all.

I was able tocrop in on both of these and I think thequality looks amazing.

So then I took thesp1 and I printed out the same twophotos.

I didn't crop in exactly as itwas before, but you can definitely tell adifference.

This is looking really blownout and this has kind of got a littleblown-out effect too and if I didn'thave the other ones to compare to, thisone would be just fine but this one, helooks very much like a ghost so I'mgoing to bring in the other two photosthat I printed with the sp2, and you canjust tell how much more vibrantthese are than these and I didn't changethe settings or anything, they're the exactsame pictures.

So overall, I do think thesp2 is a much better quality and like Isaid before though, I wouldn't havenoticed so much on the sp1 had I not hadthese to compare it to, So I did try onemore with the sp1 just to show you.

Thisone is a little bit dark on my phone, butthen it printed out okay! And I didn't doa comparison of this one just because Idon't need two of these photos of himin the tubby, but you can tell thatbecause it was a little bit dark on myphone, it does turn out a little bitbetter.

So I would say that if you havelighter photos on your phone, that theyget a little bit too blown out with thesp1, but the sp2 does a really good jobof staying true to the colors, true tothe lightness and also the contrast aswell.

Now, let's take a look at the new HPsprocket which is linked below as well.

This came out at the end of Septemberand there's also this paper pack whichhas 20sheets.

the printer itself does come witha 10 pack of paper.

So I power it on andthen the little light comes on and toprint it, you need your Bluetooth on andI also want to allow for the Bluetoothto talk to the sprocket.

I go into mycamera roll to decide which photo I wantto print out and I'm going to choose oneof these of Jack in front of this littleblue clubhouse and that's how it isunedited, straight from the camera, butthen when I go to print it, I'm out ofpaper! This is good timingto show you how to load it.

So I justpress ok and then I grab the paper andthis is Zink photo paper, it comes two tenpacks to one box and it's really simpleto load.

The photo illustrates exactlyhow you do it and this is how you openup the printer.

I probably should haveturned it off while doing this, but Ididn't.

I'm going to just open this uphere and then you see this blue sheetyou just have to make sure that it'sface down.

So it'll tell you to load itthis way and that's all you do! You justmake sure it stacks up nicely and thenyou go ahead and close up the sprocketso easily.

And I think that when you hitprint, the first thing that comes out isthe blue sheet of paper so I'm justgoing to fast forward this part righthere so that you can see that out comesthe blue sheet and then as the light'sblinking, you'll know that it's workingto print out this other photo.

So give itsome time, it kind of makes a little bitof noise, but I wasn't sure if it wascompletely working but now, look.

Hereit's coming out and I'm just going toleave this in real time so you can seehow long it takes.

It does not take thatlong.

I would say, one thing after playingwith this, is that if you edit your photoso that it is a little bit coolerinstead of warmer, it does turn out alittle bitmore true to what appears on the screen.

I'm happy with the quality, I think thatwith a few tweaks and edits, you can makethe print a little bit better than justfrom what you take with your camera, fromyour iPhone.

So you can see it's a littlebit more yellow in the print, it's alittle cooler on the screen, which isactually how I wanted it to be.

The nicething about it is that it is a sticker,so you can just peel off the backing andstick it right to your paper! I've beenusing it for traveling, I really like itfor this travelers notebook style andthat was the first photo that I printedout and Lang looked a little yellow, butother than that, as soon as I was able tofigure out after a few test prints, thatyou do need to edit to make it cooler.

Itdoes look better, like look at how goodthis one looks! It's good contrast, goodcolor.

So one thing I wanted to point out -when I updated my phone for some reason,I updated to an iPhone 7, and itcreated a little border around thatInstax photo, so I'm not sure whathappened there.

But here is when I gotthe hang of editing the photos for thesprocket.

I think they turned out reallygood! I'm really happy with both printers.

I don't think you can go wrong witheither.

I like the fact that they arestickers so you can just stick themright into your book, but I do also lovethe Instax share with the border.

I think either printer is great to have!Okay, so what did you think? Did you enjoyseeing these two printers and am I atotal enabler or what? So if you likethis video, please give it a thumbs up.
