How to choose the best rangehood pt1 | ROBAM Rangehood Demostration | ROBAM Australia

every modern kitchen it's a good set of appliances to go with it now, every functional kitchenyou need a good rangehood to take the smoke, grease and odour to the outsideHi, I'm Louie from ROBAM and today we're going to answer the four most commonly askedquestions by our customerson how to select the perfect range hood for your needsROBAM Kitchen Appliancesfirst question we get asked isdoes the rangehood have enough power actually take the smoke from your cooking out?secondly, does it make a lot of noise?third, is a easy to clean?and fourth, does the style of the range hood match your kitchen decornow today we're gonna do set of demonstrations to show youhow powerful the rangehood is, and when we do the demostrationskeep an eye out because we're gonna do in real timewith one camera, with one takelet's get into itnow first demonstration gonna do for you todayis to test out the power of the rangehoodnow forget about you see on paperbecause its the actual performance of the rangehood is where it really countsI'll start with a piece of tissue one button to turn on the rangehoodhold it underneath and you can see theres no problems holding up the tissue whatsoeversecond demonstration isjust a A4 piece of paper, hold it up to the rangehoodthere we go, no problems herethird thing I have here is our brochureyou can see it's slightly smaller than a A4 piece of paper, butI'll say there's about fifteen pagesin this brochure so there's quiet a bit of weight on this itselfhold it up to the bottom of the rangehoodno problems thereoktry this at home, just grab a lid of a wokjust a normal lid you find at home, and hold it up to the rangehoodand see if it can hold up the lid itselfok, last demostrationis our solid timber, timber board here, and what I haveis just a digital scaleset it to zeroput that hook underneath thereand let's see what that comes to okaythere we goset the memory and if you can seewe have six and a half kilos herethere's quiet a bit of weight on this board, six and a half kilosand I'll take out this hook in the middle heretake out this hookput it underneath the rangehoodand there no problems at all, six and a half kilos here guysand if you noticed there fifteen holes drilled through the timber boardso what that means is actually there's still air moving through the chamber hereI'll put thisput this, lid underneath, no problems hereon all four corners, no problemsand, on this cornerso, six and a half kilos, with air moving throughwhat I have here is number sixthe number six hereis the fan speedso that's the highest setting that we've got and that's the stir fry settingwhat I can do is I'll bring it down to threebring it down to twobring the speed down to oneyou can see lowest speed, even with the lowest speedsix and a half kilo timber boardwith the air moving through the bottom stillthere we gono problemsso what I'll doone button to turn it on, to the delay timernow the delay timer, it goes on for an extra minute after you've turned off the rangehoodso if you've stopped cookingturn on the delay timer, the rangehood will automatically turn off after one minuteso I'll press it again to turn it off straight awayand you can see, it's held up the timber boardsix and a half kilos guysthat's alot of weightso there you have itrangehood from ROBAM, six and a half kilos, try this at home as well and when you go out shopping, for a new rangehood, try it out with some of the other ones and see how much weight the extraction power of the rangehood can actually hold upAlright guys, after the demonstration you probably want to ask is this easy to clean?well the short answer is yes and I'll show you whylet's have a look underneath here, we've got oil filter and oil guidesso as the filter separates the oil in your fumesit'll run down the guides into the oil cup herelet's imagin for a second, I've got four cards herelet's imagine these cards are the oil particlesthat gets trapped in the filter hereand I'll put four of them, one on each sideone over here and one over hereso we'll turn off the rangehood, and watch how to oil reactsnotice they all slide into the cupso if this was a flat filter, you'll have oil dripping all over your cookingso because this has got a 33 degree incline angle, it actually drops straight into your cupand what we do then, when the cup is full, simply give it a little twistit come straight off, we'll just simply tip it outso afterwards give it a little washand we can pop it back up ready to go for next timenow if you're worried about this being plastic, I'll show you just how strongthis piece of plastic really isI'm about 82 kilosgive it a step, there's no bending, no problemsand you can see that's, more than strong enoughto last you say, 10, 20 maybe 50 yearsok if you want to clean the filter completelythere's three simple steps grab a phillips head screwdriverand there's two screws at the back here, give it a little twistgive this side, a little twistand that just pops out, so we have to dois grab these screws that the back give it a little tugsee how that just pops offand this filter itself it actually comes in three partsso we've got the oil bowl which collects all the oilwe've got, the mesh filter which separates the oil in your fumesand, we've got the oil guides which guides all the oil into the oil cupso all of these parts are dishwasher safeso you can chuck it into your dishwasher or you can simply just wash it by handsorry when you come to put it back togethernotice there's two little grooves at the top herethese two little grooves mark the front of the filterwhat we'll do is slide the front in firstinto these little slots at the frontand for the back just simply push it uphear that little click, that'll hold it into placegrab your screw driver, push the screws back up, give it a little twist, until you hear a clickthis side, give it a little twist, until you hear a clickand we'll grab our oil bowl, with the oil bowl, just line up the grooves in here, onto the filter itselfonce it clicks in, just give it a little twist and there you have itand that's how easy it is to replace the filter on a ROBAM rangehoodOkay guys, thank you for taking the time to watch our videoI hope we've answered your questions on how to select the perfect rangehood for your kitchenuntil next time, I hope to see you at ROBAM.
