Wonder Wash and Mini Spinner Review - Go Green With Your Laundry

Hey everybody, this is Casey from CaseyFriday.

com.

If you read my blog, The Rich Life, you know that The Rich Life is all about saving tonsof money.

So, in order to save money, some times you have to do some crazy stuff.

This is our washing machine, and this is our dryer.

Now you might be thinking, "What the hell? There's no way I'm gonna get rid of my washing machine and my dryer just to save money!"Well, if you live in an apartment and you have to go to a laundromat, this is a reallygood way to save money.

This is by a company called The Laundry Alternative.

This is the Wonder Wash washing machine, and this is the Wonder Wash dryer.

It pops open to put your clothes in there, and it's great.

So, if you are interested at all in going green, saving the planet, preventing globalwarming - I don't even believe in any of that, but I do believe in personal responsibility.

This is one of the main ways you can do that.

You'll save water; you'll save electricity.

So, what I'd like to do is walk you through a general load of laundry and show you howit works and exactly how easy it is, and see how you can get started saving money todayusing these awesome products.

Alright, so here we are in the bathroom.

What we're going to do is take the Wonder Wash and place it in the tub.

That's gonna be the easiest to do.

Now if you watch my other videos, you know that I do P90X, and I get really sweaty, likedisgusting sweaty.

And if you've ever sweat like a faucet, it's coming out of your skin, you know how disgustingthat smells.

So my workout shorts, they don't feel that great, and they don't smell that great; andif you have to go to a laundromat or go to your washing machine, it's probably goingto take 40 minutes in the washing machine, another 40 minutes to an hour in the dryer.

That's a really long time.

You're probably going to forget about it.

You're gonna start watching TV, you're gonna go eat some popcorn, you're gonna check youremail, and then it's gonna be wet overnight, it's gonnna stink even more, and you're gonnahave to wash it again.

So the first thing you're gonna do is you're going to get some hot water going in the tub.

Alright, that got hot really fast.

So once it's hot, you want to fill up the Wonder Wash half way with water.

Before you get it completely filled, you also want to put a little soap in there.

Now, this Wonder Wash does not take a lot of soap at all, so I'm going to get probablyabout a tablespoon or so of soap.

See how tiny that was?How small of an amount?Maybe you didn't because I'm far away, but you're gonna put that in there; finish fillingit up half way.

Alright, it's filled up half way, now it's ready to load.

Alright, so you're going to take your clothes, and put them in.

That's pretty tough, huh?So go ahead and get all the clothes.

You'll probably want to make it 50-75% of the way full, with the clothes inside of theWonder Wash.

There goes a workout shirt that smells disgusting.

Alright.

So everything's in there.

The next thing you're going to do is get the lid, put it on, and then tighten it.

This pressureizes it and keeps it completely sealed so no water will come out.

Then, you're gonna grab the handle, and spin it about one revolution per second for aboutone to two minutes.

This is really tough, and by that I mean this is not tough at all.

Alright, so I've been doing this for about two minutes, maybe three minutes, maybe I'mcheating a little bit.

Once I finish, I'm gonna stop shaking it around.

I'm going to depressurize the top.

Did you hear that?Isn't that awesome? It's like a space ship opening.

Turn it, open it up.

Now you have two options.

The first option is that you can use this pipe that comes with it.

I 'm going to turn it around, and I'm going to place this pipe under it on the littleconnection and what it will do is when I push this in and turn it, it'll open up a nozzlethat'll let all the water out from the bottom of the device.

So there it goes.

Get in close and take a look at that.

As the water's coming out, you can kinda press the clothes - squeeze them a little bit.

Get some more water to come out.

You can just wait.

Now, if you don't want to do it that way, you're impatient like I am some times, simplyput your hand over the top, turn it over, got a lot more water out at once.

Now squeeze the clothes a little bit because they're making a barrier on the bottom there.

So let the water out, and that's probably good enough.

So the next thing you're going to do once you drain it, is you're going to fill it again, and rinse it, because you've got all the soap in there and now you want to rinse the clothes.

So you're gonna do the same thing - fill it up with warm water about half way, go anotherminute or two rinsing it, and we will do that next.

Alright, it's been rinsing for about a minute now, well, I've been rinsing it for abouta minute now.

I'm getting some serious guns from this.

If you want guns, you need to use the Wonder Wash.

So now, depressurize the lid again.

Take it off.

And drop everything.

And we're going to let the water out.

The quick way.

Alright, the wash cycle is done.

It has been a massive six minutes since we started this.

So compare that to using a washing machine.

Think about how much water goes through it.

The next thing we're going to do is dry the clothes, so let's see just how difficult thatcan be.

Alright, so all the clothes have been washed and rinsed.

Now it's time to dry them.

We're gonna throw them into the spin dryer.

What you're gonna do first is you're gonna take this tube that comes with your dryer, and you're gonna attach it to the tube that's on the back.

Make sure the right side gets on there.

Once you attach that, you're just gonna drop that in the sink, and that's ready to spinall the water out into the sink.

So what you'll do, if you take a look inside the spinner, you'll see that there's not aton of room, but if you think about how quickly this thing works, there's actually plentyof room for the job that needs to get done.

So let's go ahead and transfer some of the clothes into the spinner.

There's some workout shorts.

Now when you put them in there, you want to make sure they're evenly spread around becausethis thing's gonna spin around really fast at about 1500rpm, so you want to make sureeverything's even so it doesn't wobble and tilt at all.

Get a few items in here.

There's no need to get a ton at once, because like I said this thing works really well.

Let's get a workout shirt in there too.

Still a little bit wet, so we'll squeeze that out.

Alright, once it's just about at the top, you're going to take this little doohickeythat comes with it, and you will place that down on top of the clothes.

And that's so they don't come out and spin to this outside area.

So what you'll do - shut the lid until it clicks.

Set the timer.

We're now going to set it for about four minutes, so let's set it at four minutes and you cancheck and see the water beads just start spreading right here.

And there you go, if you want to take a look in the sink, there's the water coming outalready.

This is so much more efficient than your standard dryer these days.

And it doesn't cost $700.

So if you look real closely here, you can see all the little beads of water.

This is just spinning - it's like a salad spinner - I don't know if you've ever usedone of those.

Same thing.

And it is incredibly efficient.

It's really quiet.

This is probably about as quiet as some of the most expensive top-of-the-line dryersyou can get.

So we're going to wait here, until this is done, and then we'll show you what the nextstep is to finish your laundry.

Alright, it's just reached 0 minutes.

This thing is done.

Now what this spinner does is it really closely resembles the spin cycle on a washing machine, but it's a bit more efficient than the spin cycle on a washing machine, and by a bit Imean a lot more efficient.

So when your clothes are done, pop the top, you're gonna squeeze the plastic doohickeyto get it out.

And then you'll take your clothes out.

Now it's not gonna be as dry as if you were to have it in a conventional dryer.

It'll be a little bit damp.

But it is much drier than when you take the clothes out of the washing machine, and you'reready to put them in the dryer.

So you take your hanger, hang the clothes up, and my suggestion is you'll probably needabout thirty minutes to an h-- this is really dry.

You might need 30 minutes to an hour.

Just take it and hang it in a doorway.

Do the same thing with all your other clothes.

Give it about an hour.

Maybe open a window.

Get the vent going with the air conditioning system, and then you're gonna be done.

So you've just saved a butt-load of money on doing laundry.

Alright, so we're finished with the load of laundry.

It probably took about 15 minutes.

The clothes are hanging in a doorway.

The window's open, the breeze is beautiful.

If you live in a hot place, just turn the vent on at your house, or the AC - whateveryou want to do, just make sure it's got some breeze going through them.

They'll probably be completely dry in about an hour.

Maybe an hour and a half - two hours.

The really nice thing is, once you hang your clothes up - you hang them to dry - they'reon hangers already.

They're ready to go right in the closet.

If you have a closet that's near a vent, or a window, you can just plop them in the closet, open the door, and they're good to go.

Once you're finished with these bad boys, you want to take the lids - take the lid offof the washing machine, open the lid of the dryer, and let them dry probably for about30 minutes to an hour.

Just make sure that the moisture has a chance to escape because you don't want any mildewto grow on these things.

Once they've dried for a little bit, like I said half an hour, an hour maybe, then youput them in a closet, put the lid back on or keep the lid off, whatever you wanna do.

So this is the Wonder Wash from The Laundry Alternative company, and this is the spindryer, from the same company, The Laundry Alternative.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Besides that, if you'd like to get them, they are incredibly cheaper than conventional washingmachines and drying machines.

If you think about workout clothes, this took about 15 minutes, so instead of you havingto buy 5 pairs of workout shorts and 5 workout shirts, you use these bad boys, do your workout, wash your clothes, and you're ready to go the next day.

You only need one pair of workout clothes.

Maybe get two - I have two pairs, just because I prefer that.

But it's incredibly efficient.

It's a really good replacement if you live in an apartment, and you don't want to goto a laundromat.

If you live in a house that doesn't have a washer and dryer, and you don't want to goto a laundromat.

It's really easy to use.

The spin dryer is amazing.

It's fun watching the water leak out of it, and it's really effective, and it saves someenergy.

So if you're all about saving the world and going green, this is the way to do it.

Check these out - I've got links to both these products at Amazon, and you can see what otherpeople are saying about them, and see if you want to get one for yourself.

Thanks for watching.
