Hey guys BigNate84 here and today I'm with my buddy Joefrom the Boston music scene and he plays in the band Joe Greaney and theChasers and today we are converting VHS tapes intoDVD but not just any VHS tapesthis is a commercial from 1995 that yours truly starred inJoe is still recovering from the baggage that comes along with being a child actoryou know, Mouth from the Goonies Stephanie Tanner from Full Houseand there was Joe from that New Hampshire Bank commercial from 1995you remember him right?nom nom nom nom nom yeah you remember me right? Here are 3 methods to convert from VHS to DVDthe first two are the easiest for non-tech peopleand the last one requires some pretty good computer skillsso method 1: the VHS/DVD recorder that I recommend it's the easiest to do yourselfit does take some time and you must find a recorderwhich are getting increasingly more difficult to findbut that is the easiest turnkey solution without having to mess aroundwith other converter boxes and software You don't need to be a technology guru todo this.
In fact the RDR-VXD-655 from Sony has one touch dubbingAll you have to do is put a blank DVD in the trayPut your VHS tape in the other side And press the one touch dubbing "video button"No need to connect to your computer buy or install software or monkey aroundwith external converters in my opinion this is by far the easiest turnkeydummy-proof way to do the conversion yourself the only problem with this solution is thatSony has stopped making these devices VCR/DVD combo players and recordersare what we can now call legacy products or legacy technologyas the years go on they will become a part of historyas more and more manufacturers stop making themso if you have a collection of VHS tapes that you want to transfer over to DVDYou may want to act fast and get a VHS/DVD recorder before they all disappearmethod 2: mail away web services YesVideo.
com, iMemoriesthese are paid web services that are available at least in the USand what you do is you ship your old tapes out to these companiesand they make your audio and video content availablefor download and for ordering online and then method 3: which requires some prettygood tech skill and computer know-how, externalconverts so you can go to Amazon and check outEasy VHS to DVD by Roxio or Honestech VHS to DVDor Hauppauge makes the 1212 HD-PVR once you start using external converters designedto work with your computer you have to worry about software issues, storageissues do you have enough space (Gigabytes)on your computer to hold all this video data? are you comfortable using using DVD burningsoftware and managing digital files?so like I said before method 1 here the VHS/DVD recorder is the simplest wayto do it yourself but hopefully you found some of this informationhelpful Here's a tip for all you pirates out thereThese methods I have suggested only work with home videos that do not havecopy protection so if you have a commercial VHS tapethat you bought from the store like The Sandlot or Goonies or the first seasonof Full House none of these methods will workeven though VHS tapes are older analog technology they still have copy protection built inthese aren't sponsored product placements I'm just throwing out some different optionsfor you to consider but you can help me out by clicking the linksbelow and viewing these products on Amazonalright that was easy now that the VHS tape has been converted toDVD you'll be able to cherish that memory foreverhopefully this video was helpful definitely subscribe to BigNate84, super helpfulvideos on there for you and check out my music Joe Greaney & The Chasersthanks for watching but not just any VHS tapesthese tapes are.
