[music]Gabe: Before I jump into the best security cameras of 2019, I want to discuss the methodologywe use to come up with our winners in each of the categories.
That's just the Security Baron Necessary Features Test, where we look at video quality, two-wayaudio, night vision, local and cloud storage, smart platform integration, artificial intelligence, convenience, and value to come up with the decision on what will work best in each distinctcategory.

Not only is it a beautiful take of a camera with that gunmetal aesthetic, it's just anamazing all-around camera.
It's got that 1080p high-definition video, with a 130-degree field of view, eight timesoptical zoom.
It doesn't end there.
It's got that clear infrared night vision, two-way audio, and integrations with GoogleAssistant, of course, Amazon Alexa, Philips Hue bulbs.

It just got that much going for it.
If you use it in conjunction with Nest Aware, you can get a really lengthy cloud storagepackage that comes with a host of artificial intelligence features.
At the end of the day, it's the best camera out there.
[music]Gabe: Let's look at the best camera for homeowners.
That's the Logitech Circle 2.
The Logitech Circle 2 is amazing and a power horse because it can be put anywhere, insideor outside of your home.
Need it on the patio, put on the patio.
Need it in your living room, put in the living room.

Do whatever you want with the Logitech Circle 2.
It's going to come with that 1080p crispy, high-definition video.
It's got a 180-degree field of view, which is pretty wild.
180 degrees is more than we typically see for any home security camera, and maybe yougot yourself a smart home.
You've got Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa or Apple HomeKit.
You can use all three of those with the Logitech Circle 2.
It's the only camera on this entire list that can do that.

[music]Gabe: The best camera for renters is the Tend Secure Lynx Indoor Camera.
I'm a renter, too.
I know how it goes.
You pay your first, you pay your last, and you pay the current month.
You don't have a ton to shell out for indoor security camera.
The Tend Secure Lynx Indoor Camera is only $60.
Just because it's affordable doesn't mean it's cutting any corners.

When it comes to an affordable option for taking care of what's going on in your home, the Tend Secure Lynx Indoor is solid.
[music]Gabe: Best camera for pet owners, look no further than the Netatmo Welcome Indoor SecurityCamera.

Not only can it recognize pets, but it can also recognize up to 32 different faces withthis artificial intelligence.
It's very impressive.
If you look at its other technological advancements, in terms of being able to be used with GoogleAssistant or Apple HomeKit or even Facebook Messenger.
You can go ahead and text your home security system like you do your old friends from highschool.
Overall, when it comes to what a pet owner would want from a home security camera, you'regoing to go with the Netatmo Welcome.
[music]Gabe: Best security camera for urban homes, we're going to go with the Amazon Cloud Cam.
Amazon Cloud Cam is great because it integrates into that Amazon Ecosystem that's becomingso popular throughout cities in the country like New York, LA, and Chicago.
As soon as you take it out of the box, you can set it up within 10 minutes using theapp, throw it directly to your Amazon Fire TV using your voice on your Amazon Alexa, and you're ready to go.
Not much, it's minimal.
It's going to see everything going on in your home.
When it comes to the best camera for an urban home, we're going to go with the Amazon CloudCam.
[music]Gabe: When it comes to the best outdoor camera, we're going to go with the Canary Flex.
The Canary Flex has this really interesting all-black capsule design that can be prettydiscreet.
I would put it right above your porch because it has that package detection.
It will know when your package has arrived and will keep a watch on it with its 1080phigh-definition video and its excellent, excellent night vision.
When it comes to an outdoor camera, we're going with the Canary Flex.
[music]Gabe: Let's move to the best indoor camera, and that's going to be the Canary All-in-One.
The Canary All-in-One is a solid indoor camera for a host of reasons.
One, it's going to capture anything going on in your home, day or night.
It's got 1080p high-definition video, a 147-degree field of view, and a whopping 12 infraredLED sensors that's going to capture anything happening in the dark.
What else sets it apart? It has climate monitoring, which means it's taking the temperature, air quality, and humidityof what's going on in your home to help you make the most conducive environment to yourwell-being.
We love the Canary All-in-One.
We want to call it our best indoor camera.
[music]Gabe: Best wireless camera, we're going with the Arlo Pro 2.
The Arlo Pro 2 has a rechargeable battery that allows you to put it up to 140 feet awayfrom the Arlo Hub.
Not only can it be put so far away, but it can basically withstand anything.
It's weather resistant, rain, snow, even dust.
You say, "Oh, it's a hardy, rugged camera," but it also comes with a host of smart platformintegrations and other capabilities that let it go head-to-head with any of the indoorsecurity cameras out there.
When it comes to the best wireless camera, we go with the Arlo Pro 2.
[music]Gabe: When it comes to the most affordable camera out there, we're going with the WyzeCam.
The Wyze Cam has 1080p high-definition video, local and cloud storage.
It can integrate with Amazon Alexa and IFTTT.
It's like a mighty mouse.
This little camera can do the most.
We're really impressed with it.
Yet, it cost $20.
When it comes to our top pick for most affordable indoor security camera, we're going with theWyze Cam.
[music]Gabe: Let's talk about the pricing on our favorite cameras of 2019.
In our best home security camera list, the average price of a camera is $146, but there'sa huge range to be found there.
Beginning with our Wyze Cam, which is $20, which is, by far, the most affordable camerathat I've seen on the market.
That's followed by the Lynx by Tend Secure, which is a $60 camera.
Then you have the Canary All-in-One, which breaks a $100, at a $109.
The final camera that is below our average of $146 is the Amazon Cloud Cam, which onecan purchase for a $120.
[music]Gabe: Moving on from some of our more affordable devices on the best home security cam listof 2019.
Let's look at some of the pricier options.
Beginning with the Canary Flex, which comes in at $169.
It's closely followed by the Logitech Circle 2, which is priced at $180.
Once we hit that $200 mark, we're hitting the Netatmo Welcome Indoor Cam and Nest CamIndoor.
One thing to note about the Nest Cam Indoor, that you should probably think about whenlooking at price, is the fact that its cloud storage plan is a little bit more expensivethan some of the other ones out on the market and even on our best home security list.
Finally, the most expensive camera on our list, but we will say it's actually stillquite a bargain, is the Arlo Pro 2 at $220.
That's the pricing rundown of the Security Baron Best Home Security Cameras of 2019.
[music]Gabe: At the end of the day, this is Security Baron, and we focus on smart home security.
We wanted to add a little bit to the discussion regarding your home digital ecosystem.
With our best overall cam, the Nest Cam Indoor, you have integrations with Amazon Alexa andGoogle Assistant.
What does that mean?It means you can control your camera vocally using Amazon Alexa or Google Home, GoogleHome Mini.
That means you can just throw it onto your Chromecast or your Amazon Fire TV.
Then, you also have integrations with things like Philips Hue light bulbs, which meansthat the moment you decide to leave your home and arm your camera, it will also turn offyour lights.
This is what we mean when we speak about having smart integrations with your home securitycameras.
[music]Gabe: Let's look at some of the other smart platform integrations to be found on our 2019best home security cameras list, continuing with the Logitech Circle 2, which actuallyintegrates with the big three, Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant.
If you find yourself to be an Apple aficionado, you may especially want to look at the LogitechCircle 2 because not that many systems out there actually integrate with Apple HomeKit.
[music]Gabe: The Tend Lynx has zero smart platform integrations.
That's not the case with the Netatmo Welcome Home Indoor Security Camera.
Netatmo launched with Google Assistant capabilities and has been rolling out Apple HomeKit capacity.
What I find to be particularly interesting, maybe a bit odd, is their integration withFacebook Messenger.
You can go into Facebook Messenger and command your security camera.
To round things out with Netatmo, you've got Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit, and Zuckerberg.
[music]Gabe: If you want to use the Canary All-in-One with your Google Assistant and Google Chromecastto throw up those stored videos right on your television, you know that you can do thatright out of the box.
However, if you would like to use Amazon Alexa or Apple HomeKit, you're going to want tocheck the Canary All-in-One model that you buy to make sure that it integrates with yourpreferred smart platform.
[music]Gabe: Next, looking at Arlo Pro 2.
It has a host of smart platform integrations, not only Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, but also IFTTT and Stringify.
You can have your Arlo Pro 2 turn on when you leave the home, and then it will turnyour Nest thermostat down.
Therefore, saving you a little bit of money on your heating bill.
We've also read that Arlo plans on launching Apple HomeKit compatibility for the Arlo Pro2 this year.
That's something else to look forward to when it comes to smart platform integrations andthe Arlo Pro 2.
[music]Gabe: Finally, even the Wyze Cam, our most affordable camera coming in at $20, has IFTTTand Amazon Alexa integration showing that to have a smart home doesn't mean you haveto spend a lot of money.
[music]Gabe: That concludes our list of the best security cameras of 2019.
